Hardie Board wall
Project type
Hardie Broad Wall
Date

Location
Porter neck, N.C
I built a custom privacy wall beside the outdoor kitchen to block the A/C unit from being an eyesore and help the space look more finished and intentional. I started by laying out the wall location and setting sturdy 8x8 posts in concrete to provide a strong, long-lasting structure. Once the posts were set and aligned, I framed the wall and installed Hardie board panels, finishing it off with Hardie board trim for a clean, polished look that matched well with the home and outside kitchen. Final thing to do was Hang an 85 in outside T.V up to entertain everyone in the pool and cooking by the outside kitchen.
For the second wall out in the backyard, I built a similar setup to hide the pool pump. This one was designed to be effective while keeping a lighter profile, so I used 4x4 posts for the framing. I installed Hardie board and trimmed it out just like the first wall, keeping the design consistent across the property.
Both walls were built with durability in mind and positioned to allow proper airflow while still concealing the equipment. The end result is a much cleaner look around both the outdoor kitchen and pool area, turning what used to be exposed equipment into neatly hidden, well-integrated features of the yard.
