Location

Wilmington, N.C

I replaced the rotted wood around two flower beds and several other areas in the yard by first removing all the old, deteriorated boards. I carefully pulled out the damaged wood, cleared away debris, and checked the surrounding soil and layout to make sure everything was ready for new material.

Once the areas were cleaned up, I measured and cut new lumber to fit each section, making sure the lines stayed straight and consistent with the existing landscape. I set the new boards in place, securing them firmly and ensuring they were level and properly aligned to give the beds a clean, defined edge.

In spots where the ground had shifted or settled, I regraded and packed the soil before installing the new wood to help with stability and drainage. After everything was installed, I backfilled where needed and tightened up all connections.

The finished result is a refreshed, sturdy border around the flower beds and other areas, replacing the old rotten wood with clean, durable material that improves both the look and structure of the yard.
